Penny

Penny has returned due to changes in her adopters circumstances. She stands for bathing, grooming, saddling, and rides in traffic. She has been out of work since October due to pregnancy. She foaled in April, a gorgeous bay paint filly who is now ready to be weaned. Penny has a great personality and work ethic and will make someone an awesome horse once she is worked consistently.

While Penny is still considered green broke, she is just a wonderful horse. Her only problem that I see is she WANTS her own person. She loves being ridden and does very well, but just does not seem to be "happy" here at the rescue. She is ready for a job and ready to bond with her special someone!

Penny was ridden again today in the round pen and the arena. She did very well under saddle and just needs more consistent work to live up to her full potential. Watch back for more updates as we continue to work with this pretty girl!

Thanks to Nadia of Double H Horse Farm and her crew for coming to volunteer on 7/10/10. Nadia was able to work with Penny, who we were told had only been ridden three times prior. She worked her in the round pen, she accepted the saddle, a bridle, and a rider with ease. As you can see from the picture, she rode out awesome, even in the tall grasses. Nadia felt she was a very calm, sensible ride.

Penny is the first one to the gate when she sees people. She is a darling paint/TWH cross who is just a joy to be around. She loves attention and should be a great asset to any who will love her!

Penny came to the rescue due to running at large. She is a 3 yr old black and white TWH filly. She is said to have had ground work and ridden twice along with started on driving. We will update more as soon as we are able to work with her.
