Geneva

9/4/10
Well, after a lot of work and working with Geneva, we believe she is almost blind.  She can see shadows from her right eye, but is totally blind in her left.  She would make someone a great project horse as she is broke to ride, but with her ear issues she will need someone she has bonded with and totally trusts.  Geneva is a very loving horse who deserves a life of love.

Geneva was ridden today in the round pen and the arena by one of our volunteers. She was absolutely perfect under saddle and responds well to leg cues, neck reining, and direct reining. She is making progress in overcoming her head shy issues. She is more cooperative when having the bridle put on from behind her ears rather than having it pulled over her face. She improves every time she is bridled.

Geneva came to the rescue due to running at large.  She is said to be a 5 yr old mare.  She is a medicine hat paint who may have some hearing problems which we are having checked out.  She is said to be broke to ride, but is very sensitive around her face and ears.  She is very social easy to catch and loves to get attention.  We will be working and have more update more as soon.
