Thank you just does not seem enough when it comes to the people that have really "come to the rescue!"

There are a group of wonderful caring guys from the St. Paul, IN, area that have just been a God send.

I hope I don't miss anyone when I say "Thank You" to Duane D, "TwoShadows/Terry", Troy, Danny and everyone else that Duane has called upon to help the rescue horses.

This weekend, 7/24/10-7/25/10; Duane, Terry & Troy along with Brenda & Debbie from IHR SW, Katie from WI, Mel from Kewanna, IN our local volunteers (Autumn, Evan, Jamie, Naomi, Shulah Greatwater/farrier) came to Frankfort, IN to work with the horses that we have.

These folks worked all day Saturday and Sunday training and riding horses that have needed to be worked and ridden.  If you look at the pictures you will see horses that have been here at IHR Central that are just awesome.  Was it the people or the horses?  Maybe a little of both - but these guys worked and rode horses and worked hard!  I will be adding more pictures of the adventure in the next few days to show some of the fun we had, but also the great personalities of these horses.

It was with a lot of tears that we thanked them, for without their help, these great horses may not find homes, and that because of them, they now have a chance at adoption.

Thank you for this great opportunity to become friends and to watch these magnificent creatures find homes.

The volunteers braved the accommodations or lack thereof, the heat, rain and humidity - all for the love of horses.
