A Memorial Donation has been made to
honor the memory of Princess, a very special girl.
Princess was originally adopted by Beth
in 2005. She is just one of the many wonderful horses that
come to the rescue. Princess crossed rainbow bridge in
April of 2010 after many years of love and attention. She
will be missed by so many and it is hard to say goodbye, but
knowing she was loved always makes it easier. Here is what
Beth said when she had to send Princess back to the rescue due
to moving:
"This is
Princess- we think she must be about 25-27? She is a remarkable
walk-trot horse for a youth rider: she has placed consistently
in the ribbons in walk trot with her now 10 year old rider for 2
years. She has been with us since 2005.
She does get food aggressive, and HAS to be fed hay cubes, not
flakes because many of her teeth are missing, and her longer
coat shows her age, but she is healthy with a good weight, and
can trail ride, could be a "husband horse"- She can get a little
bucky if asked to canter, or another horse gets too close, but
with people she has the best manners- she loves to be groomed
and will stand for hours being braided, brushed or loved on.
She loads, clips, hauls like a gem.
I adopted her for $550 and it was the best money I have ever
spent."
